Looking for an L9 fan spoofer for foghash c2 cooler

I recently purchased a C2 fog hash cooler unit and a few antminer L9s. After purchasing the C2, I got a message from them that I need an aftermarket fan spoofer for the L9 since their fan spoofer isn’t compatible. The rep from there didn’t give me the make, model, or where to buy the fan spoofers that go with this combination. I also have not found any through google. Does anyone here know where to get an L9 fan spoofer that works with a C2 fog hash?

I can find 2 models for spoofers. Neither show rated for l9. I don’t see braiins is supported either.

Message Altair and tell him you’re looking for spoofers for the L9 control board, I’m pretty sure he will hook you up with the spoofers in the first pic, i think the L9 has the same control board as the S21

I did, they recommended the one on top, which I ordered.

What hole saw size should I use to drill the holes for the hoses? In the video, a 2 1/8 inch hole saw was used. I will be drilling through concrete and the hole saws I can find that have a diamond core bit are not available in a 2 1/8. I can either get a 2 1/4 or a 2. Is 2 inch two small? The wall is 10 inches thick.

I used the Njord option with a ducted fan, but these guy’s stuff worked with my L9.

Any chance you got a Jan batch with control board CV1835 (sticker on top) and December firmware? I used what looks like your top option and it worked on previous models of L9, but not on the most recent batch. I’m needing to find a spoofer that works.

Just got off the phone with John @ Fruition Designs and he’s sending me simulators and adapters he knows will work. Will post on status…

Same and will do. Pulled out my soldering kit and went wild trying 5 different simulators with no luck. Waiting anxiously for the package…

I feel it needs more fan speed, like 6050 minimum

SOLUTION FOUND : Can vouch for HashHaven, the spoofers he linked did in fact work. I am running them on an L9 with an aclogic control board with December Firmware. Worked like a charm.

Having very similiar problems. Bought a couple of Antminer L9’s, trying to do immersion and spoofers won’t show up in the configuration. I am getting 0 fan speed on all 4 slots. I ended up purchasing 2 from Altairtech.io and 2 from Nakamoto mining, neither of them worked. I purchased the January Batch and am running firmware from August.

I sent emails to Bitmain, Altairtech, ZuesMining, FogHash, and to Nakamoto Mining, Fruition Designs, and have also posted on Reddit about this issue. Will post if anything comes up. Keep me in the loop @HashHaven, seems you are onto something good. Hopefully we’ll all be hashing away here real soon! Cheers.

UPDATE #1 2/1/2025 : Bitmain responded. They said they can’t help and now I have voided my warranty. FogHash also responded, and confirmed what we already know and that is the spoofers they provide with their kits is not compatible with the new L9’s.

UPDATE #2 2/3/2025 : Fruition Designs responded saying that it was news to them that the newer L9s were not compatible with the standard fan spoofer. After some research, 3rd party firmware such as, Braiins OS, Vnish, and LuxOS do not support the Bitmain Antminer L9 of any generation as of today, February 3rd 2025. If you read this far enough into the future there may be support for it at your point in time.

POTENTIAL SOLUTION : I have found a work around, shoddy but better than nothing. More cable is soldered to the end of the fan connection wire. that way you can run the fans externally. This is still possible though difficult due to how short the original cables are.The miner is running perfectly fine doing this, and it bypassed the need for spoofers. You may be able to find dedicated extensions that do not require soldering together more wire. I do not know if this is the correct cable, though it looks like it should work. I’m in the same boat. L9s are shipping tomorrow and I’ll need to find firmware or spoofers that work. I’ll keep you guys posted if I figure out how to mod the AltAir spoofers to emulate a faster fan speed. Hoping it’s just a resistor value change.

The simulators from Fruition worked like a charm on 3 L9’s with Dec and Aug firmwares. You’ll need the cable adapters… "K / S21" Series 4 Pin ATX (2x2) to Fan Emulator Adaptors (Pack of 4) – Fruition Designs

Did on one of them as I was going through the motions of figuring it out, but in the end the firmware did not matter.

ah that’s awesome, he’s been doing a great job lately it seems, I have some of their ASIC kits to quiet things down, need to order some of those spoofers to get more use of my immersion tanks w/ the L9s

a couple days later, the L9(s) that weren’t working, are working well?
