I have an S9 that I just picked up and it start up however I get a solid red led fault light. I have reset and restarted. I am unable to find the IP address as it won’t show up. Any help would be appreciated.
If the IP does not come up then it is a very good chance the control board is bad. I have 2 control boards with the same issue. No IP address. I have not tried to reload the firmware from the SD card however and that might fix them. I just brought new boards off ebay and they work great.
First experience with these. Do they require an SD to work? Thank you for your time!
Try a new ethernet cord, i had one solid red light, changed the cord with a new one and it worked right away
No, it does not require it to work. I have seen some people indicate there is a way to make a 2nd OS bootable on a SD card, but I have never tried that.
My s9 had a static ip address. Had to reset it to see it when logged onto router. Plug it in, after 2 minutes hold a paper clip in the reset for 5 seconds. After 4 minutes it should power down and back up. Will go back to original firmware. Should see it when logged into router. Got the info right out of bitmain support, old article.
I tried all this on the control card that would not provide an IP on BootP. 100% was a bad control card for me.
The only thing I could not get to work was the SD firmware load, but I really think it was the firmware I was trying to use. Given the correct SD card and the correct firmware, this might work. I have the card still so I might get around to trying it again.
Thank you. I tried that one and unfortunately, that did not work.
Thank you all. I’m try another ethernet cord and then go for a new control board.
