Hey everyone, I have a question and wondering what I’m possibly doing wrong. I have 6 SC Box Miners on DXPool running for about 10 days now. They seem to jump all over the place hash rate-wise. I guess I was thinking they would all perform about the same at least most of the time. But as you can see in the picture I’ve attached they are all over the place. And ones that are up now will be lower later and vice-versa.
I’m very new to asic mining. So I’m just wondering if I am doing something wrong? Or is this just how it is?
Is that a screen shot of pool side or PC side? If it’s pool side hash is really an estimate based on submitted shares over a certain time, so it’s not something to base your hashes off. If it’s the PC side silicon lottery could be to blame but it’s usually only 5%+/- to 10%+/- difference. I wouldnt think you’d see that much of a drastic difference.
Just saying if you’re checking you hash rate on the Pool side (on the website) the hash rate will seem all over the place due to the way they estimate or calculate your hash based on stats. They don’t have direct access to your miner to read it’s hash rates. If you log directly into the miner (PC side) using the IP, the box miners usually come with okay directions to log into from a PC. (YouTube is always a good reference) @VoskCoin should have plenty of videos on how to log in.
I might give that a try. I’ve noticed the profits going down almost daily on DxPool. I get more beasts are coming online, but it will be interesting to see if the profits increase
