Brand new HS box not working fresh out the box… plz help!

Hey what’s going on good people ! So I just got a brand new ha box in the mail, and I noticed fresh out of the box right off the bat the minor seemed like the inside component was loose… kind of sliding around. When I goto plug it in everything seems to be fine for the first 30 seconds to one minute. Then the power port light turns to a solid red light.
Has anyone has this or similar issues?

does it have wifi?

Hey @Coolhand !
Yes it came with a Wi-Fi antenna, I initially tried with ethernet because that’s how I run my other boxes

I would guess that the 2gb mem chip or the sim is loose. Read the forum for your miner and see how to open the unit and secure.

What i would do is shut off the wifi. I usually just use my iphone to access the wifi and turn it off, then use ethernet

right out of the box it seemed like something was loose, but ive never opened something like this. also there is a sticker on one of the screws to remove it. Does that void the warrenty?

so i tried to connect using ethernet, and currently i have a
red light for the PSU port
green and yellow lights on the ethernet port
and a flashing blue light by the reset button.

that would void the warrenty

did you reach out to goldshell?

Yes I did reach out to god cell, and Bella from the support team told me to unscrew it and figure out if something is loose….
And that it wouldn’t void the warranty…
Which was strange because I already know it’s loose, I thought maybe they’d take thisbone back and send a new unit

I’d open it up but thats me. not sure where your comfort level is

On a scale of one to 10, maybe a 3…
I’m scared to open this.
By any chance do you know what the warranty entails? And how I go about doing it?

Im not sure on the warranty. I have opened a couple of mine for various reasons. It’s not hard

Alrighty well thanks anyways! When you open the minor, was there any loose pieces? Did you just have to re-plug them in, or solder them together?

just unscrew it and you should be able to slide everything out. There will be a couple wires for the fans. Everything should be fairly secure. if something is loose thats probably the issue

yes i agree. I knew this unit wasnt going to work because the insides were loose.
I just dont want to mess it up any further, and loose my warrenty!

If she gave you permission, you don’t have to worry. They have it on file that you were told to open it. They take notes on everything!!
