Buying bobcat helium miner

I’m about to pull the trigger on buying a miner or two. Does everyone think they will still be profitable in the three ish months they take to ship?

Bobcat just tweeted 4 days ago that they shipped miners ordered on 6/10/2021. So they are about 5 1/2 months behind. I just didn’t want you to get your hopes up on 3 months - it’s closer to double that.

should have just brought my spare BobCat I didnt use and you would be making HNT Wednesday. I paid $1300 on ebay so I expect no less than the same.

Also make sure you check https://explorer.helium.com to see what miners near you are making daily. There is no guarantee you will make a lot. This one I randomly picked on the map. And even though is around other miners is making $2.71 a month. That’s 40 years to get your money back if you are buying a $1,300 eBay miner.

If you can get a transmit scale of 1.0 and you are not in RELAYED… and , there is at least 8 other miners within 10 miles radius that are in the same condition, you will make HNT per day at about .5 and up to 1… I have done 1 HNT a day 3 times over the last 10 days with the new POC loaded.

The EXAMPLE you posted is at 0 meters. that is no possible unless his antenna is on the ground. Of course it is not going to work.

The Bobcat comes with a 4dB… that thing works in the attic great out to 5 miles radius. Up on the 2 floor of a house it works great out to 10 miles

I just picked the first non relayed one I found. Just saying - people should check what other miners at their location are making before they buy even a $500 miner.

I picked a few more random ones making $30 to $400 a month from 3m to 9m. So it can be all over the place - best to compare close to your home before buying anything. I also found one at 0 meters that made $230 the last 30 days so…

Also when helium makes its changes in the next month they will be looking at signal to noise ratio to determine any miners using high gain antennas or geo location spoofing. Many are about to have their mining profits cut. Vosk put a video out on this last week too.

Helium mining is not the same as regular hardware mining. The mining results are not stable. If you want consistency go with ASIC or GPU. Like Miner and joe said: your set up and your “neighbors” play big into it.
