CK box temp question

I thought I saw a post on here before regarding something about box temps, I have searched and can’t seem to find the post. My ck box temps are running at 77c and 84c, I only have one ck box so I don’t have a comparison for that one. I searched the web but couldn’t seem to find much info. Do you think the 84c is ok or is it running hot? I am not really having any issues besides numbers going down, but I think that is just difficulty with the amount of miners. My 5 day average is 102.67 ckb per day on dx pool. Thanks for any input and/or opinions!

Chris

Be honest, not too surr BUT If you got this set, you are good.

Chris, part 2. It could be the difficulty messing with the payout. I range on the box about 105-110 on f2pool.

my ck box temps are 84c/ 70c. Its in the house, with ambient temps around 70f

I agree the payout is affected by the difficulty, which fluctuates. I get between 104 and 114 over the last week or so on dxpool

Thanks Zpan, I do have it set to the lowest which is 85c. I just think it’s running close to the current max setting. I guess the good thing is that they give you room to raise it, which in my mind means it can run hotter with no issues, but I really don’t know for sure.

Asicminervalue.com seriously needs to do something about showing the correct amount you can earn with ckb miners. I am running 55Th and have earned average of 5720 coins in span of 5 days. That’s an average of over $100 per day but asicminervalue will cut that earnings in half.

Thanks Gorlok, I appreciate it. I am running in my living room right around 70f as well.

I have 4 units all of them are running in approx 85/73 C range. I was trying to see if temp will decrease if I run it in low temperature like 7 C ambient and what I notice that Box will reduce RPM to stay in range of 75 - 85 C so it seems to me like it is operating temperature set in FW and I was not able to achieve to have higher temperature below 70C.
What is related to profit same here 102-112 range / box on DX Pool, I had it on Poolin previously and it was similar with day to day variation.

I wish Goldshell allowed us to control the fans and run them higher speed if we wanted to.

I am hoping that comes with a future update!

I have noticed their numbers to be off some as well. I saw a post here last week and someone else had mentioned that, so I did a comparison and they were definitely off on my mini ck profits. I think it may have been @JoeJoe who mentioned it regarding an ST box. Before, I used to just take whatever their site showed, but now I will be checking multiple sources and running the numbers myself.

Thanks T7LY, that makes sense about the firmware settings. I never even thought about that.

I believe there is a firmware update where you can increase the fan speed but it’s going make your miner loud

Firm believer of the saying: its ain’t broke, dont fix it. Or in this case dont mess with it. Lol.

Cause that my luck, I mess with a setting and some how it break something with a new firmware.

Same here, I’m not changing any firm/software unless it is 100% necessary or makes a huge difference in profitability.

I belive it was the HS-Box reporting a negative when it was still making $$$ but yea I’ve seen the ST-Box and CK-Box off too.

If you go to Dxpool and expand the section for the coins you can input your hashrate and it will tell you what it will make on Dxpool. It is fairly accurate.

For @cryptominernv 55th when I looked at it last night should be about what he said at $100. For some reason it seems to be a little less today though. Cross checked the coin vs dollar amount on coingecko. 3478.2858 = $77.33

Daily Profits:
55000 GH/s ≈ 3478.28580000 CKB $ 77.0692

Thanks JoeJoe, I didn’t know about that calculator on dxpool, I’ll check it out. @JoeJoe

On the web page you have to click the little > symbol and each coin will expand - exposing the calculator. If you have the Dxpool app - from home just click on the coin to show the calculator.

I’ve mined both on f2pool and dxpool, and I always get more profits from f2pool. YMMV
