If you didn’t get your hands on a MNTD hotspot don’t feel bad. At least if you’re in the US. No US sales were recorded and all sales have been postponed due to Shopify issues

Well, at least this time they appear to be trying to fix their own mess rather than “Yeah, we F’d up bad… deal with it.” as before. Still don’t have much confidence.
At least I can step away from my computer now and enjoy real life

That’s extremely difficult to accept. Sorry, Shopify only does ecommerce. They have a reputation for being dependable and they’re huge. Very difficult to accept that they were suddenly brought to their knees by this traffic and instead of waiting for the issue to be resolved, MNTD just decided to not sell their products. Not buyin’ in!

I hear complaints about Shopify all the time but I personally have no real experience with them. It’s hard to say given that the EU and Canada drops went pretty much smooth
Best way, just lotto all the people who subscribed. It is purely luck and you know people will only get (2). Not using other accounts and devices. This will then lower the traffic on the site.
It’s possible that bot builders could’ve purposely crashed the site but gained enough code to write a buying bot for the next launch. There was not enough script available to program a bot for the drop. This is part of the reason why RAK created a separate website just for the MNTD miner, to prevent bots from making purchases

wasted another hr of my life. in retrospect, they are $800 cheaper this way vs ebay

That was a wasted experience. Doesn’t look like I will be getting a hotspot this year
