Just found this. Hopefully the box miner is still OK.
Bought through New Egg. Gotta see what’s covered if anything

I hate those factory power supplies. I use a good old fashioned Bitmain APW7. I honestly don’t think it’s the miner. Swap out the PSU and you should be fine. They use thin gauge wire in those factory PSUs.

Thank you for the info. I have 3 mini doges and I am about to get another. Would u recommend the gold shell 4-box power unit?

@deephouse No, I wouldn’t trust those. I believe the goldshell ones are the ones with the issues.

Burned power connector on the miner itself should definitely get replaced. Even with a new PSU it will overheat again. I’ve been there with 2 GS mini boxes so far, but the others seem to be ok.
