Goldshell X5 question

I see dxpool shop has some Goldshell X5 for sale. Anyone have any experience with these? Couldn’t find a whole lot of info about them. Looks like a good deal but a little scared parts might be hard to come by if needed. Don’t know if anybody put out custom firmware for these. Seems like a good hash rate though. Just curious if it might be a good complement to l3+ or not

The X5 is less efficient than the L3+ if you run the X5 on performance mode (1.7MH/Watt vs 1.5 on the L3+). However, if you run the X5 on low power mode you’ll get 1.1MH/Watt and 600MH/S. Compare this to the Goldshell doge/ltc Box miner. The box gets 1.25MH/Watt on it’s performance mode and gets 185MH/S. The Cost of the X5 on dxpool shop is $1,615. 600/185=3.24 And $1,615/3.24=~$498, so you are getting the equivalent of 3.24 Goldshell box miners at $498/ea but are using 94Watts less than the equivalent in box miners, if you mine the X5 in low power mode. X5 – Litecoin Miner – goldshell miner GOLDSHELL – X5 Litecoin Miner (850 MH/S) – DxShop X5 is a no brainer yes.

Hi! Do you know about the noise levels at the low power mode. At DxShop they state 80db but does the noise go down when running low power mode? I couldn’t find any videos from youtube.

Can the x5 be run on 120v if using something like an apw3 or apw7?

They need 220v

That’s what I thought I had seen. I was hoping someone had some other info I missed. Thanks for the confirmation!

now this is a quality reply

I didn’t fact check you but yeah, love the simple mathematical approach

mine is using 110v

I have two X5 and they are great. Here is one of them. Pulls about 935 to 955 watts depends on the temperature.

My only issue is the temp on the first board. Not sure whats happening here waiting to see if anyone has any suggestions. I posted this on another thread a few days ago on this site.
