thanks sprag. i guess its time to man up and start dipping my toes into other pools and getting used to swapping at will. dx has had a few issues the last couple of days and this last 24 hours have been very ordinary.newbies gotta learn fast
Hashpool seems to be working as normal again. Luck has been good recently also, (average past 24 hr. luck has increased from 26% to 70%).
Right after the KDA network failure, My reject rates went high, but now they are back to 2-3%.
I can now continue my data gathering for Hashpool. Be back in roughly 20 days with results, un-less we run into another issue like we had this weekend… or my rejection rates start to go out of reasonable limits…
Happy Hashing!

So its pretty much confirmed,
KD5’s have a major issue with Hashpool. Multiple users with KD5’s from various locations, East USA, West USA, and Australia, and with different firmware versions (2.1.6 and 2.1.5) have been tested, and all have had high reject ratings. (20-30%)
This is a major problem for Hashpool. If KD5’s cannot mine satisfactory from Hashpool, than Hashpool will never get the required Hashrates to have reasonable luck variance. And hence, will never succeed at becoming a popular KDA pool. They need to fix their KD5 issue.
Because of this, it does not make sense to continue with Hashpool Jumpstart. Even if Hashpools average payout is reasonable, the pool cannot become popular because it does not play nice with Gold shells KD5’s. Hashpool in its current condition is not the answer to the KDA centralization problem.
I’m recommending we pull out from Hashpool.
As soon as I hit the next minimum payout I will make the switch to another pool. (1-2 days).
Please,
Other KDA pools that are available,
F2pool (They now supports K: addresses) How to mine Kadena | f2pool
Cmpool is currently working on their KDA pool. (No planned release date yet though)
PS, I will let Hashpool know they have problems with KD5’s. Hopefully they can address this issue…

See above post,
(I can only mention 10 users at a time…)
this is such a shame sprag. i am quite new to mining and am struggling to connect anywhere else other than dxpool which for the last few days has been exceptionaly inconsistant for me. i am happy to follow you guys to whatever pool you suggest with our 8 kd boxes because whats good for kadena is good for all of us.the last thing we need is for kda to go belly up.
Don’t be afraid to have your miners on Poolflare either. They are a good pool.
And I have a feeling that there are some good KDA pools that will be coming online soon (this year).
So eventually the centralization problem will be fixed.
If your able to spread your miners amongst available pools do so, but if not, just mine from the pool your able too.
Didn’t owners complain of high rejects on Dxpool too?
Yes your correct. But I believe the newer firmware makes the KD5’s manageable on dxpool though.
But something to be aware off if you have a KD5 and wanting to use dxpool.
