the higher the hashrate on the pool just means it has more people mining there. Thus more blocks will be found on that pool but shared out to more people. If you can mine and find blocks then solo might be your best bet.

if you have just one or two asics running, best bet is go with where the masses are. if you are running 100+, then that’s a whole different story.
