Hi, is anybody using an Economy 10 electricity tariff in the UK and who is your supplier please?
Cheers,
Think I’m on flexible Octopus (economy 7) - about 28p day time rate and 10.61p midnight to 7am. Yeah 61p ish per day standing charges
What miners are you using ?
Mine are hosted in the US, as you simply won’t make any real returns in Blighty. I believe hosting is around 8/9 cents so 8 cents is around 6pence/kwh.
I wish I’d moved the Antminer there from the minute I got them
Who is your host please?
Cheers,
Steve
I have found that EDF here in the UK do economy 10…
Not as cheap as 8/9 cents though
I think it is roughly 10p a unit / KWH during the 10 hours of off peak electricity…
Hi, “max_gain”, I only have a few small home miners…
I have:-
2 * Ipollo G1 Mini, 2 * Ipollo V1 Mini 300, 1 * futurebit apollo v1 and 1 * Canaan Nano 3
120 watts each, 240 watts each, about 100 watts and finally 100 watts = 920 watts
Looks like you would be roughly paying £4 a day in electric if your off peak is 10p for 10 he and I’m saying 24p for the additional 14 hours (I think this is the going rate currently). Have you calculated what these miners are making in total per day less the energy costs.
I ordered 2 al0 at 200watts in total. At the point of purchasing them I would have been looking at £30 profit a day at my 24 hr cost of 24p per kWh. At today’s rate calculating the current price of alph I’m looking at around £3 profit per day. Who ones what tomorrow brings. I will simply run them whilst making profit and switch them off temporarily until the prices increase. I’d love to get solar, but I’d need a system with batteries which would cost 1000’s that I don’t have.
Hi, I’m running my miners for just the 7 “cheaper” hours a day
Which would be the best website to calculate my miners do you think?
I honestly don’t know if any of them are highly accurate. My L7 makes way more than the likes of ascicminervalue states it should.
