HNT via a Rak, can it be this easy?

I’m new to this, so don’t crucify me if I’m missing elementary points here. Can a rural hotspot miner system be this easy?

  1. Buy 2 RAK hotspot v2’s ($820 total)
  2. Buy 2 Verizon Mobile hot spots ($160 total)
  3. Buy 2 verizon prepaid unlimited data plans ($150/mo total)
  4. Buy 2 sets of small solar panel, charge controller, battery, inverter ($200)

Set up the 2 RAK’s 400 meters apart on my hunting lease where they wont ever be messed with. Load up on HLN from the RAKs doing challenges and witnessing each other

This is looking to be my best route, I don’t know my neighbors, and I don’t have multiple residences/businesses to keep a hotspot, but I do have the hunting lease which could comfortably hold multiple hotspots all a few hundred meters apart from each other.

What am I missing?

I am learning, but came up with a similar plan, following… Good Luck bro!

Just wanted to update with some thoughts and hypothesis from the past couple days research, no real data though.

PoC gains tiny fractions of coins. Witnessing earns more.

However, when peoples smart devices use your hotspot as a means of transferring data to the network, thats when payouts get fairly big it seems.

I’ve concluded that you can certainly make coin in the middle of a hunting lease, but there are probably way more profitable ways than replying on PoC and witnessing.

Do you think this website with the simulation software might be helpful for you? https://hotspotrf.com/
You have 10 free simulations to give it a shot and see.
It’s definitely not unheard of where someone buys a bunch of them and they witness each other to make HNT in the area, but how much you might make is always uncertain. If they’re new hotspots, you could always get lucky and maybe you’ll hit the consensus jackpot!

Place your first one, then use https://helium.place/ touch map geo locate while standing at your first setup.

To place your second one in the green zone sweetspot.

How did your plain work out. I was thinking about doing the same thing for my work shop. What was your ROI
