Hello, I want to expand my farm and move it out of my house. I’m considering buying land to build on. I want to know if anyone here has some tips or tools they can share to help find the best electric rates?
I’m located in central Florida and would like to stay relatively close to that area.

Try finding a town with a hydro dam, generally there they have a cheap rate.
Also see if you can get a building or property with a business electric rate because that is way cheaper (around 25 percent).
Search for all the power providers in the area you want to be in. They will have their rates online. Don’t trust those. After you’ve narrowed it down, call each provider and have them tell you the bottom rate you can get based on your power consumption.
It’s also worth a shot to try and find a business that has a high power usage. They have probably negotiated a better rate the an individual can. In my experience so far this game is all about networking and connections. Going through a ton of “NOs” until you find the right “YES”.
