Initially announced with a uniform 12 TH/s hashrate, the Iceriver KS5L has surprised the market by delivering three different versions: 10 TH/s, 11 TH/s, and 12 TH/s. For our testing purposes, we have the 12 TH/s version in stock.

Setting Up the Miner
Connecting and setting up the Iceriver KS5L is straightforward:
- Connect the Miner: Plug in the miner and connect it to your local network.
- Get the IP Address: Obtain the IP address of the miner from your network.
- Login: Open your web browser and enter the IP address. Use the default credentials:
- Username: admin
- Password: 12345678
- Configure Pool Details: Fill in your pool details and wallet address. We connected our miner to Humpool.
Performance and Noise Levels
Upon initial operation, the miner was noticeably quiet, thanks to its auto-fan tuning feature. In our warehouse with a 10°C ambient temperature, the miner’s noise level was around 60 dB, making it relatively unobtrusive compared to other miners.
However, we observed some hashrate instability. The hashrate fluctuated between 12 TH/s and 18 TH/s, indicating potential firmware issues as this is the first model in this series. We anticipate future firmware updates will address this instability. Despite the fluctuations, the average hashrate was around 12 TH/s.
Power Efficiency
One of the standout features of the Iceriver KS5L is its power efficiency. Consuming 3300W, it achieves an efficiency of 275 J/TH, making it the second most efficient Kaspa ASIC miner after the Bitmain Antminer KS5, which operates at 150 J/TH.
