iPollo V1mini 300Mh still worth it?

Hello all, I’m in need of your opinions. At my second location, they only provide 120v. So I can’t install 240v machines. I have been looking through some miners mainly ipollo and Jasminer. My electricity at this place is flat so I don’t care much for efficiency.

My current interest:

  • Jasminer with 2,200$ excluding shipping and import tax get me about 1040MH at 370Watt
  • 5 iPollo V1 mini at 1984$ include DDP Shipping get me about 5x300 = 1500MH at 240x5 = 1200 watt

Questions:

  1. now I’m curious how Jasminer is achieving 1000 of MH for only 370watt? are they just that efficient?
  2. Jasminer has 5GB while ipollo has 5.9GB. Any idea how long this will last?
  3. Any mining pool you recommend for OCTA? or what do you recommend I mine?
  4. Any experience with Jingle mining? I saw at mining disrupt that they are official global partner of Jasminer.
  5. Any other opinions are welcome. iPollo V1 mini is what I’m leaning toward atm but I’m new to mining alt coins (usually only mine BTC) so I’m trying to see if I miss any key information. I’m also look at ipollo v1 mini hydro but price doesn’t make sense.

5GB vs 5.9GB doesn’t matter much since your probably just going to me mining ETC, and octa’s dag is only 1.7gb. And ETC’s dag wont get that big for a while, since its currently just 3.35GB according to minerstat You will also need more internet infrastructure for 5 mini’s if you use ethernet. About question one, yes. They are just that efficient. Honestly the Jasminer will probably stay more relevant than the mini’s because of its efficiency.

Get 3 of these.

Get a s19, 90th

Get 3 power supply’s that can handle 1300+ watts on 120 volt.

Take the hash boards out. Put the new control boards in for each, new power supply’s for each.

And now you will have 3 hash boards with there own control boards that can run on 120 volt.
