FYI to anyone interested in Chia but does not want to do the complicated process of plotting.
They seem to be doing it right and use all the current technology and progression that Chia farming has seen. This includes the new compressed plots! They have considered the upcoming plot filter reduction.
Pricing is very competitive with Evergreen Miners and you get a 20 - 30 % advantage with compressed plots on top of this.
Worth looking into! I believe you’ll hear more on Jusey Chia Miners soon!
Their Hub consists of an Athlon 300U CPU and 16 GB of DDR4 RAM (upgradable to 32 GB). The Hub has room for two 3.5” Hard Drives as well. The TDP of the CPU is 15 watts at max workload, which it won’t be doing, so energy use of the hub will be very efficient.
The Hub will be running JuseyMiner OS which is built on top of Ubuntu 22.04 Server. It will be running a Gigahorse Full Node (Basically a client that runs a Chia Full Node and can farm the Gigahorse Compressed plots). I’m guessing it will be as easy to set up and manage as the Evergreen Miners. Because it runs a full Chia node, you will be helping to secure the Chia Network. With Jusey Miner, you can choose any pool you wish to use or farm solo if you want to.
If it runs like the traditional Gigahorse client you should be able to farm any MadMax Gigahorse compressed plot AND normal Chia plots. You will only pay the dev fees on Gigahorse plots and not on any normal Chia plots. With that said, Gigahorse compressed plots are the best around so far. The official Chia compressed plots are slightly less efficient compared to Gigahorse compressed plots. So the 1.5% dev fee paid (CPU farmed fee) on Gigahorse plots is made up in their better efficiency (smaller size = more plots for same amount of space).
Not to mention, Chia official compressed plots are still in alpha/beta stage…
Since, Jusey will plot to existing keys, as long as you tell them in advance. You should be able to use your existing Evergreen plots or normal chia plots.
The hard drives will come pre-plotted with Gigahorse C5 compressed plots which gives you a 28.8% advantage over regular plots(this is after paying the 1.5% CPU dev fee).
On discord they say they are working with Voskcoin and so “Voskcoin” will work as a coupon when buying one. This is a plus and I’m glad Voskcoin is supporting them in some shape or form.
its a bit more expensive. but there does seem to be the advantage of being able to pick your own pool. basically they do the hard work of setup. but after that all future configuring is up to you. with evergreen you have the app. so its kind of one of those things where it can go either way. however im all for it, more competition brings better innovation and more options for consumers so sweet.
Cost really isn’t more if you look at it from a per GB standpoint the JuseyMiner starts at 20GB for ~$580 while the Evergreen goes up to 18GB for ~$530
