KD5 power cable in the U.S

@japaboston
I mine to zelcore, and to avoid short term usa irs taxation I’ll hold everything for one year, then reconsider.
I’m hoping to see KDA go up, but it might go down, but after reading their white paper I don’t think it’s going away.
If I want to exchange I’ll use CoinMetro (they support chain zero), and I keep records on CoinTracking for tax reporting purposes.

Another question regarding the noise levels and keeping the miner cool. Did you built some sort of box, or enclosure to keep the noise down and make sure the miner is cool during the summer? TY!

I bought two of the below outlets for 7 or 8 USD each and wired them to a 20A breaker. Together 2 units are pulling 17A. Slightly over the 80% rule but not too bad until I can get a subpanel in. Then I plan to run each off its own dedicated 15A breaker.

Hope this helps you or someone else. Good luck to us both getting these things paid off!

The item title says 125V, but the overview and packaging say 20A-125/250V. Two brass screws for L1 and L2, and silver screw for neutral (I connected ground).

Awesome, TY @yaksaredabomb , appreciate it! My electrician was looking into these too.

Hi, @japaboston
I set mine up in front of a window and ducted the exhaust out the window. I set the entire ‘mini-farm’ up on a set of wire shelves on wheels then used sound proofing foam to deaden the noise.
I put an indoor mobile air conditioner right next to the set up and set it to 72 degrees Fahrenheit.
The whole set up is in my basement. I have a dehumidifier running as well.

some stiff cardboard and a couple zip ties was all I needed to duct the exhaust out the back of the house without cutting any holes in my wall.

@japaboston
that looks like the one, L630P outlet.
I hired an electrician to install two in my basement.
I can do the electric work, but I want it to look better than some of the jobs I’ve done.

I have the same questions but I have an Aintminer s19 pro (110th). I have 2 of the same cables

I bought this for S19j Pro:
Black - 14AWG (15A 250V) - 3ft
NEMA 6-20P to 2x IEC C13 Power Splitter Cable - SJT

Using them with 6-20r receptacles.

I have an s19 pro? I would just plug this in to a 30amp outlet?

TY @yaksaredabomb , I’m looking into the S19j as well. Is the noise around 90db or loader?

did you go direct? hope not. i just bought a KD5 myself and the power cord is from a PDU unit. TRIPP LITE PDU, on Voskcoin Electrical video. my current issue, is the cord that came with it says it is a 15A, 125V, 1875W. The machine says: input-200-240V, 50-60Hz 16A Max and online it says it uses 2250W… (so that cord isnt capable of the draw from the machine…)Which in my mind the cable should be 12 gauge wire for a 220 volt connection…THOUGHTS?? ANYONE?? Still have call into Tripp-Lite.
