KD6 Preorders are now available

Hey Aaron, I believe it was in response to me responding to someone asking for money to buy a kd6 because they got selected for the lottery but didn’t have the funds.

We should all check on the 3rd later in the afternoon, because Goldshell is 16 hours ahead of PST (California).

I regret my first post, now that I’ve done some research. This is totally legit.

no KD6 love for me…

The deposit is accessible via PW on the site. Just got a notification though of a restock of other miners: https://www.goldshell.com/shop/?mc_cid=2303b1c99a

The $11,400 KD6 deposit is only for people who won the Goldshell Google doc lottery and isn’t part of this morning’s restock drop.

Any goldshell drop is difficult to obtain…by the time I’m awake, they are all gone…

I think they are changing drops from time to time cause sometimes it is 3 am in my timezone and sometimes 2 pm like today.

Honestly I am not even sure I am sad for not getting the link fro KD6.
From my trading experience I know it is better to stay on the sideline than to chase it.
Still we are speaking about almost 40k and even we all KDA miners wish for KDA to go up and it most likely will go one day, but we do not know how deep it will go before going up so we might have some better chances to buy it later on if it continues to consolidate for few more weeks / months . . .
I just see 2 problems.

  1. Chip shortage
  2. They are much faster to adjust price when it goes up than when it goes down

True, I was a bit let down for the first lottery right on New Year eve but I am now thinking I have better Crypto projects elsewhere and It’s better to diversify my portfolio rather than have all the eggs in KDA ( specially with the KD6 MSRP). I do have KD-Boxes and don’t want to go for some more of them as the difficulty will only increase overtime.

out of interest, what are your favorite alternative projects at the moment?

I’ve been upping the number of MatchX Pro devices here as they seem to be rather good bear market miners. Earnings stay constant at around $10 a day, when the token price drops the number of tokens are increased. The expanded testnet for multicoin mining is also interesting.

3x bobcat 300s on backorder stuck in delivery Limbo but I doubt those will really make anything of interest in terms of ROI (may just fling them on ebay when they arrive, if they ever arrive).

I was thinking along the same lines Sandeep. With KDA prices under pressure and difficulty increasing by the day, the math doesn’t work well for a KD6 at $38k (i.e. direct from Goldshell). It can work, but a lot of variables have to swing the right way. And when all those KD6’s start hashing, I’d expect that difficulty will ratchet up proportionally.

I do mine ETH using my GPU rig (thinking of moving away from ETH to some other alternative POW as the difficulty has shot up in last one week) , Kadena, CKB, StarCoin and SIA. I created a Strong node out of curiosity but that’s the most risky investment of all and sometimes my other half of the brain works independently and invests in some tokens to test the waters.
