Hi, Newbie here, just wondering if anybody has a good setup to buy crypto, as crypto.com and binance and several other are not permitted in the state of NY?

Kucoin is my fav as they offer a wide variety of coins/token. Also, Coinbase then move quickly to Coinbase Pro to dramatically reduce fees. Handy to have both as I find CBP easier to onboard US$, then convert to USDT, then xfer to Kucoin.
Once you get into it, you’ll start learning how to use the swap DEXs such as Uniswap, Pancakeswap etc.
And while I’m not advocating anything nefarious nor providing advice, but in the interest of the merely theoretical . . . . a VPN (set to a state outside of NY) will get around the issue as will KYC with passport instead of driver license.
i use coinex exchange mainly because the mining pool i use viabtc uses that exchange and there are fees to move my mining btc to the exchange as it is a inter member transfer and is paid out daily.
