Need help KS0 will not power on Ice River no support

Hi,
One of my KS0’s went down on Saturday and I cannot get it powered on. I tried a new PSU and plug but no power. All of my miners are protected by surge and voltage protectors. I tried to get support via email and telegram. I sent a video of the problem but no reply. Should I open up the miner and see if a connection is loose or the PDU is bad or just wait weeks for no support. Any suggestions? The over 100 iPollos and Goldshells I never had a problem with this is the first “brick”!
Thanks,
Dave

Sorry but remote diagnosing this is basically impossible. You are going to at least open it up and take a look/post pictures of the circuit board.

Ice River got in contact with me and I am sending the KS0 to get repaired.
I will let you know how it goes.
Thanks,
Dave

Still waiting for it to return. It cost my $286 to ship and Ice River does not care! I lost over $400 in mining earnings! I am sick of these miner manufacturers. Two of my Bitmain miners are down and in warranty my K7 and E9pro right now. Already had to replace the fan in my L7 within 3 months. I am losing my shit! I suggest not to buy any mining machines and let all these crap manufacturers go bankrupt! I am done mining and suggest everyone stay away unless we get a USA manufacturer I will!!! If any USA companies pulled this crap they would be out of business!

Sorry to hear that Dave, yeah honestly they can get fucked. Have you tried local repair places? I’m not in the US but sent my L7 to east coast ASICS for repairs and they were awesome. My biggest issue is shipping costs, so instead I’m learning asic repair through ZeusBTC. If you have a board with one bad chip it costs $20 for a new chip, and $400 for returned shipping to China…still studying it but the price of course + gear is worth 3 shipments to China not counting offline time so in my opinion worth looking into

@Dave_Wolter - sorry to hear it! I don’t think I will buy anything from iceriver reading your experience.

I finally got my KS0 yesterday and it is working fine. I lost about $400 in mining revenue and $286 shipping it to get fixed. Remember they say warranty but the manufactures warranty is crap, you lose! It is not like in the USA where they try to make it right. My E9pro is back up on a different pool but I lost $120 worth of electricity and the host endless mining will not make it right, eventhough it took them 15 days to respond to me and fix the miner. This is the issue with your miners somewhere else. My K7 is down and out of warranty just past 180 days losing money every day as the halving is coming up and I don’t know when it will be fixed. I am hosting with Adam Moyer and the problem I am having is it is hard hosting with someone else. You trust them with thousands of dollars worth of equipment and you don’t know why it breaks down. When a miner is supposed to last 3 years they break down within 200 days??? Total crap! I want to start my own farm. I don’t want to host my equipment with anyone else. This is what I have learned a very expensive lesson. Trust me your miner is more important to you than anyone else!

Man, sorry to hear Dave, but thank you for sharing your experience , so people can see the downfalls and things they have to consider with hosting. Feel your pain though, had a k7 board fail on me recently and waiting on that to get fixed and my ka3 control board was spazzing out, updating firmware/factory reset did nothing , but reflashing the firmware did the trick , both were days just days out of warranty. Seems to be a luck of the draw with quality unfortunately.
