Hey there I just recently set up my bobcat 300 miner earlier today December 31st 2021 and noticed in the diagnostic tool for the miner that it said it was syncing and that the blockchain gap was slowly going up instead of going down if I’m aware it should be going down instead of going up
I also noticed that my bobcat miner 300 recently today started to change colours after the initial set up of the miner from green to yellow and really back and forth between the two colours
I just set this miner up earlier today ( new to helium mining )
Hope someone can help me out with resolving this issue I’d appreciate it
You better just plug it in, make sure it is connected to WiFi or Ethernet and working, and leave it alone for 3 days. That is how I did it. Messing with it while syncing or even a OTA update can really slow the process down alot.
I just set up a Bobcat 300 2-weeks ago and I was seeing a similar issue. I moved the bobcat indoor antenna away from the window and into the middle of our kitchen, then it seemed to work better. Apparently, the indoor antenna can reflect off glass causing inference. I left the Bobcat alone overnight to initialize and eventually it started working earning .01 the first day (almost nothing), then the next day .10, then .13 on the third day, I added an 8db outdoor antenna on the 4th day, and now I’m in the .30-.50 range per day. I do remember that the Bobcat takes hours to sync up to the network and kept on going from green to yellow when by the window. Once I move it away from the window, it has been green ever since and even better now with the outdoor antenna.
Trouble with some answers is based on when the answer is coming from.
I setup in October. There was way less devices on the network and syncing… Then in November there was the blockchain halt for 3 days. Then in December there has been OTA happening alot.
so what happens today is not really the same as the past.
