Any insight into what hardware to purchase with budget 1-5k? I’m looking at mining bitcoin, Eth/Eth classic, ravencoin, kadena or other crypto. Preferably would like to mine 2 different coins at once if possible. I’m also currently living in an apartment so I want to be mindful of power costs to start and I’ll transition to house within 6 months or so. Thanks for any input!
It’s probably less fun - but any mini box miner is going to be very quiet, low power, so house friendly. Mini Doge Pro will dual mine. KD-Box Pro will make the most. You might get both on that budget if you’re lucky. None of them are going to make you millions now - but stack you bags and hodl. It will bounce back.
GPU mining is probably more fun to try different things on - but that’s going to be a very crowded place very soon will people trying things post merge.
I love Vosk (as does my wife - dam you sexy beast) - but there are other channels who are currently talking more about what to do with GPU rigs post merge. Just search “gpu post merge” in YT and you’ll find heaps.
Seeing you’re in an apartment and probably don’t have 240V electricity, you should go with KD Box Pro or anything profitable that runs on 110-120V. Good luck and enjoy the ride✌🏼
Thanks for the input!
If noise and heat are an issue you’ll want a Goldshell KD Box Pro ideally, or maybe a KD Lite if you stretch your budget a little. If you can ventilate and get 220V you could go for an iBelink K1+ or BM S1 Max (mines Siacoin).
Get some ipollos. They use little electric with higher hash rate. You should use belaymining.com if you are in the USA so you don’t have to pay a tariff. They also accept credit card. I prefer using the ipollo mini v1 mini classic. Makes over 2 dollars a day and costs only 640 dollars with coupon.
I use these on a loaded server rack, so far so good, great price and profit each day with little power consumption around 250Watts you can plug into your wall out
iPollo’s are great - but the V1 Mini Classic will stop working when the ETC DAG size gets too big. That is currently May 2024 - and that’s before all the ETH miners pile over.
I wish I’d got the not-classic version which doesn’t have this problem, or an X4-1U. Something with more than 4GB of memory.
Thanks for everyone’s input I’m getting a kadena miner once I can find in stock. Question if you were going to buy a gaming pc strictly for mining and I have about 1500-2000 to purchase what gaming pc would you buy? I have to buy a pc all I have is a iPad currently. Thanks in advance for any input
Kd box pro’s are in stock right now at GoldShell. That was my first miner and they are surprisingly easy to set-up. I have mine in my office and it’s a non issue. Just sits there and makes me money. HODL KDA til $25+. Nfa.
We almost always have availability on most miners if you’d like, based in the USA, https://www.defi.equipment
Hey I finally got my sky tech gaming pc with 3080 for GPU mining. What mining pools are the best and safest and my kadena miner is supposed to be here on Monday. Any advice greatly appreciated!
Unless you’re getting free power, mining with your GPU is a waste of time. My advice, enjoy your gaming PC without the extra wear and tear.
