Please don't fall for "shipping delay, long wait time" excuse/scam from an ASIC vendor

Hello everyone,

Merry Christmas, and I hope you are all safe and sound with your loved ones.

After browsing through multiple cryptocurrency forums, I want to let the vosk community not to fall for the shipping delays scam/excuses from various vendors you may currently be dealing or plan to deal with. If the vendor has the particular miner you’re looking for IN STOCK, there shouldn’t be a delay apart from processing your order/s. Don’t fall for testing videos or any so called warehouse videos. It means absolutely nothing. Anyone can ask for that information from any overseas vendor and simply copy and paste it.

Make sure you ask your vendor if what you’re buying is in stock and fully understand what you’re getting yourself into before you send your hard earned money. When I knew very little about mining, I myself have dealt with a vendor who never ordered what I ordered in the first place even after he assured my order was in. Not sure what the motives were… it could’ve been bait and switch where he will refund you the funds and make you pay with crypto (kiss your $$$ goodbye) but anyway, I was able to get my money back through my credit card company. Had I not contacted my credit card company, this vendor would’ve never given me my money back, but only excuses.

Apart from processing time, normally when the miner is sent out, you should receive it within 10 days. I have dealt with many vendors in the past, and not once have I come across a vendor who said it would take him/her more than a month to acquire ASIC miners unless it is a pre-order. Many vendors use DHL for their shipment and over the past several weeks, even during the so called holiday season miners I have ordered for myself and my friends have been received no longer than 10 days after it has been picked up by DHL. Only time there is a delay is when your miner is stopped by customs for various reasons. Shady vendors will use the holiday excuse to give them enough time to fill their pockets with your hard earned money.

DON’T LET YOUR SUPPLIER TO LEVERAGE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY IN THE HOPES OF ACQUIRING YOUR MINER AT A DISCOUNT FOR FUTURE DELIVERY!! DON’T LET YOUR SUPPLIER TO RUN A PONZI SCHEME WITH YOUR $$$!

Seems like there is a vendor on this forum doing exactly that. Nobody knows what the market is going to do.

We all want to make money in this business, but don’t let your GREED overtake your conscious mind. Also, keep in mind that if the price is too good to be true, it is. 99.9% of the time, it is. trust me. lol

Anyway, I hope this information is helpful. I wish you all the best and may 2022 be a prosperous year for all of us! Take care.

I would like to concur with the topic.
I personally experienced the “shipping delay” story. Delays due to:

  1. New COVID variant
  2. DHL not updating the information
  3. Seller on quarantine due to COVID
  4. Seller locked up for “money laundering”
  5. Wait 10 days for item to come from warehouse
    ALL LIES.
I’m waiting since august on one guy and September on another.

I learned my lesson finallly-

  1. Manufacturer/Auth Supplier
    And/or
  2. PayPal/Applepay

There should be a top 10 lest of scams. The ones I run into weekly: shipping an empty box, dead product, to the wrong address, shipping label printed but not picked up, on aliexpress have had people send qr codes instead of product. And the ones to spot a mile away request for bank transfers / coin payments to businesses with no track record of selling, and scam websites with prices at 50% of market rate that prey on people’s greed thinking they are getting a deal without vetting the seller. The sheer volume of fake websites in Google adds for asic miners makes me want to sue Google for profiting from fraud.
