Yes, you can use a Bitmain apw3/7 - that’s what Vosk uses I believe. But I didn’t have one and it was twice the price. Plus this MSI ps has a 10 yr warranty. Also I didn’t want all the extra unused cables from an apw3/7 laying around when I just need 3. But yes they’ll work just fine too.
How did you come up with 799w?
Each is 233w (699w), plus the 5% worst case in the specs for 734w.
Oh you’re right - post corrected. That’s my fault. Thanks for pointing that out. The 839w total was correct though (233 * 3 = 699 +20% = 838.8). I went with a conservative 20% overhead.
I guess my point was that an 850 was more than enough for 3 mini-doge miners. Plus it is producing less heat. That Goldshell power brick was producing a lot of heat.
Had I spent a little more $$ for a 1000w I could have ran 4 mini-doges but I’m good with 3.
Got it. I’ve got a 750W 80 Plus certified EVGA running a mini-doge now (233w). I’ll be adding another (233w) plus a LB-Box (162w). Total 628w + 5% = 660w. Worst case 87%. Average 84%. But it’s got a 10 year warranty, so I really don’t care.
The Corsair 1200HX has been very quiet. If it’s not hot, the fan does 0 RPMs.
