Rig expansion with pcie splitters?

Has anyone tried these? I can’t seem to find any decent info on them. 2 of these could make my 6 gpu system into a 12 gpu system…

I’ve tried the 4-port one with great success. The heat sink is necessary cuz it puts off some heat.
That 8-port one may need a heat sink on that IC, I don’t know.

I would use two 4-port ones before trying the 8-port one. Why? Because of motherboard IC’s called PLX or PEX … which give the pcie slots different lanes. By multiplexing one lane, you could bottleneck the lane traffic.

Then again, I tried em and they work well.
