ROG Strix B450-F Mobo for mining cannot add more than two gpus

Hi, I built a rig with a ROG Strix B450-F motherboard based on Vosk’s very informative video The BEST GPU & CPU Mining Rig Build Guide 2019 | Windows 10 | VoskCoin - YouTube

The build is pretty much the same except instead of a 2600x cpu I used a 3600. If I add more than two gpus to the rig it won’t boot. What am I doing wrong? It is driving me crazy! As this motherboard is meant to be plug and play. Could it be something to do with the PCI-E lanes? Any help/information would be very much appreciated.

Flash the BIOS to the latest version first. Will it post with two cards?

Thanks. I have now updated the BIOS to the latest version. It runs two cards but anymore it doesn’t boot and the white light signaling a VGA problem is lit.

Two cards only work when directly put into each of the x16 pci slots
