Sending ASICs for repair

Heyyyyy!

Has anyone sent any of their miners anywhere for repair? I’m just curious in case (more) problems arise in the future. I’m trying to read into VMS Cloud Security Inc and Alpha ASIC. Alpha ASIC kind of answered me in a weird tone, like they didn’t even read my message (it was long and they replied with a one liner “do you repair ASIC” :joy::joy: VMS was more responsive but just kept telling me to send it in. Business says NY but where he told me to send was in NJ. I know they’re close (I live in PA) but I still find that semi odd. I also can’t afford to be “burned.” Lol. I need to get rid of my S9s and get a big boy miner.

We have a downed KD5 that we’re trying to get to Goldshell, but we’ve been catfished twice. I don’t know how to get in contact with the real goldshell team. It seems this space is pretty rough on the ones unfortunate enough to need repairs.

do you wanna fix your S9 up? I think you need get a big miner too haha, if you wanna repair it, the shipping cost is amazing

@trevweav1990 i feel it, man. I’ve tried to do a lot of things with this other S9 but it’s just. Not. Workingggg. Lol. I’d like to get trained/certified as a bitmain technician and be a real person that can fix people’s miners and be reliable. It’s tough finding people/places to go so I’d like to alleviate that. But the actual components of a miner (an ASIC) are just so foreign to me. It’s like divided by into anything else though; just takes time. Good luck on getting that fixed. Maybe if you search YouTube enough. I found some ways to fix my S9, they’re just way beyond my abilities. Plus I don’t have the tools.

I understand what you’re saying! Reliability is a commodity that we are shy on in this space, for sure. Keep us posted!
