STU-U6 chips fell out

I just had an STU-U6 arrive via DHL and it rattled so I tipped over to see if parts fell out and surely two capacitors fell out.

CapXon 470 16v PV851

Manufacturer is telling me to still plug this in and try that it shouldn’t negatively affect performance. I seriously doubt that.

Anyone ever have experience with this?

If they will fit back in try it the purpose of a capacitor is to smooth out flow of electricity by storing it inside the capacitor. Then releasing it when at full capacity hence the name capacitor.

Thank you so much @foggon5 so I bought what I think would be replacements for these and I also see it’s part of the hash board. They instructed me to proceed with connecting this as is. You think it’ll operate like that still? No way right?

it could cause hashrate fluctuations as the voltage will not be as stable as with the capacitors installed. If you have a multimeter that can test capacitors discharge the capacitor by putting a conductor between the terminals to discharge the charge then see if they are ok with a multimeter.
