Here is the week’s mining industry news:

  1. Hut8, a publicly traded Canadian mining company, plans a $7.5 million offering to upgrade its stock of mining rigs.
  2. The struggle for the control of Bitmain continues. Formerly ousted CEO Micree Zhan has gained control of Bitmain’s Beijing office from his rival Jihan Wu and has reportedly blocked shipment of its product from its Shenzhen factory.
  3. Riot Blockchain, a US-based public mining company, has relocated 4,000 Bitmain S17 Pros from its Oklahoma location to Coinmint’s data center in Massena, NY.
  4. An unknown user has “accidentally” paid a 10,000 ETH ($2.5M USD) transaction fee for a 0.55 ETH ($133 USD) transaction.
