I’m a small time GPU miner!
I’ve been mining for a little over a year now and I’m looking to expand my farm!
I was offered a used Goldshell KD5 today for around 5500$
Do you think it’s a good price for that machine?
It would be my first asic miner if i buy it, is there anything i should think about? Like can the previous owner get access to it some how remotely or something like that?
I’m just trying to be as careful as possible!
if its in good condition then thats a good price. general practice is reset used asics when you get them to be safe. but the price is a bit lower than elswhere so be careful who you purchase it from. use escrow or paypal if you can.
He was asking 9500$ but lowered his asking price the other day.
How will i know if it’s in good condition ? Is there some way of knowing the condition?
If i buy it it’s going to be in person! So there’s no shipping scams at least!
And i will have the opportunity to see if everything is okay before i buy it
L7 new for 9500, safe payment expected and accepted
run it and see if it gets at least withing a 5% margin of hashrate the manufacturer says it can get, check to make sure there is no rust or burnt parts. thats as much as anyone can do.
