Someone a few hours from me is selling several new ASIC Miners. I was wondering if it is enough to open the box and check the serial number and model or if I should plug it in and connect to the miner via dashboard? Is there an easy way to connect to a new miner dashboard via direct LAN connection from laptop to mine or does it need to get connected over the network (laptop to router, router to miner)? Any experience and help is appreciated.
Buying a miner from craigslist is no different than buying it from any other online vendors. You get good apples and sometimes you get rotten apples. Just make sure you transact at a safe location.

Im in Georgia, USA. I’ve looked on craigslist, but i didnt find anything looking legit near me. I may be moving before a big supplier can deliver to me, so Ive been trying to find something quicker.
I’m in Georgia as well. I check offerup, Craigslist, and Facebook market place from time to time to see if anything comes up. There is a guy on fb marketplace that has asics and he is in Norcross. I have only emailed him and never bought anything but he did respond quickly. He sells larger asics mostly, I’ve see him post kd boxes as well if you’re looking for smaller miners.

smaller miners are prefered for now. Until I can get up and running, and have at least alittle know how to what Im doing. lol.
