Despite what you’ve been told, CPU mining is not dead. It’s very profitable right now and has been for the last month because of ZEPH on the Monero algo. As of today it is 600% more profitable to mine ZEPH over Monero. Look at the calculation for 1 MH/s (1000 KH/s):
