Wondered if anybody had a Futurebit Apollo BTC and what they were like etc?

Profitability etc?

Also Node or standard model?

Cheers

I have the full node and standard, they are quiet and simple to setup. If your electric cost you anything, it will take forever to recoup your investment. I have an electric rate of $0.06/kw and it will take several years to break even at the current hashrates. I have mine turned up a little bit, mining at almost 7 Th/s, is nice to just tweak things and see how drastic or minimal the changes affect income. It is fun though, I have all small miners currently, my most profitable is either my ipollo mini etc or my 2 lbry miners, the ipollo is much better now that I got the firmware upgrade so it mines zil as well

Great thanks.
I’m trying to decide whether to buy the node or standard…
Standard is obviously cheaper (I think I have an ATX PSU which has spare capacity for this at the moment  ), Is the setup a bit clunky, as I think you need e.g. a laptop with their software on and a USB lead to set it up?
The Node seems more “straight forward”, using a Stratum address I guess? However I’ve just noticed it is about $300 more, or £230 in the UK

Cheers,

I bought the full node and two extra miners. I average around 7.5 terahash. I leave mine on Nicehash and it nets maybe around 60 cents in BTC a day. The power it uses is around 600 watts so it’s almost never break even. I just love them because they are set it and forget it and they aren’t loud at all. They can be in your house you’ll just notice some heat that’s all.

Not sure on how easy it is to set up without the node. I had the node so it was simple. The directions on their website are very good. I wouldn’t think it would be that hard to set up without the node. You just need their software, which I think you can download from their site and run it without the node.
