Used Products when Bought NEW! Please HELP!

Hey guys I have a question for all of you. I recently bought 2 Bitman SJ19 Pro 104TH miners. One just got to my house. It is all covered in dust because it looks like It’s been running for some time. The fans take time to accumulate dust like that and we just bought the miners brand new from BT-Miners a trusted vendor. When I contacted BT-Miners they told me that if the manufacturer considers them new then they’re new based on the warranty. Now I don’t see any warranty in the box and I’m trying to figure out what to do here. The supervisor of BT-Miners is supposed to call me back with more information. I’m feeling like I’m being bamboozled here because It’s like I bought a new car but when I got the car it had 100,000 miles on it or even worse a big fat ?. So I’m not sure what to do here. Any advice is appreciated. The good news is I did pay for these with a credit card so I was protected by my bank but I wanted to see what you guys have to say first. Thank you in advance.

Yeah I wouldn’t put up with that, I would make them replace it or you will dispute with CC. I bought an LT5 pro and KD box from BT-Miners and they cam brand new never opened in original boxes. They came very fast and communication was good too, so I have a feeling they will make it right.

That is what I’m thinking. They are communicating with me which is a good sign and I did it through an American company so I could dispute just in case something went wrong. These babies are definitely used and It’s scary having used equipment not knowing how many miles are on them, but really I paid full price. Thank you for the advice. I’ll let you know what they end up doing.

Also check to see if the seal is broken. A lot of manufacturers put stickers on seamless or on screw holes.
Remember to take lots of photos, close up too.

check the warranty bud on https://service.bitmain.com/support/warranty
s19 series should have 12m of warranty

I did. No stickers at all. And that dark dust that takes forever to accumulate in a computer. It’s definitely used for sure. I don’t think they’re trying to hide it at all. I’ll keep you guys in the loop when I hear back.

So I checked the warranty and it says: Equipment warranty period 359 days remaining.
Warranty expiry date for reference: 2022-12-17 00:00:00

Notes: These types of miners are not covered by the warranty: Mixed board, Scrapped and Lacked part, etc.

This is definitely a used product. The lady at BT-Miners mentioned that if there is still a year warranty on the machine then it is considered new. Isn’t that a load of horse crap? Am I being scammed here? Because It’s obviously used and I have no idea for how long, even if the Chinese company considers it new?

Maybe they bought extended warranty on the machine? It’s interesting the warranty is still for about a year.

Yeah possibly but the fact is I bought a new car. Does everyone here expect a brand new machine or is this considered new? Sorry for my ignorance but they’re 15.5K each and I’m not sure I can accept this kind of service in a company where people are making very large purchases.

can you take a picture and upload it if you can? I wouldn’t put up with that type of BS. BT-miner not only charges more than other vendors but also make you pay TAX. you should at least be able to receive quality products rather than these crap.

Yeah sure!

for sure these have been used. did your miners come inside a sealed plastic wrap?

Does anyone know what the vendors buy the products for at retail? Because I got the invoice and it says they’re $350 dollars for each machine. Is the mark up really 14K?

they do this to bypass customs.

Yes but it just seemed like they put it back in one and sealed it. Not that hard to do.
Didn’t come in an original box either. A cardboard one.

I mean even though it came in the plastic wrap you can see by the pictures that this baby has some miles on it. It takes a while to accumulate that kind of nasty dust in there.

you should always receive your miners inside an official bitmain box if they are brand new. seems like someone put in a used machine and sealed it. i’ve seen other members here on this forum receiving used miners from bt-miners…get in touch with them and have them resolve this issue.

Yeah I am. Waiting for a reply. Plus I haven’t received my other one yet. It’s going through customs in Cincinnati right now. But please believe when I get it I’ll be taking a bunch of pictures trying to see if It’s really new or just another used one. Thank you for the help by the way! All you guys are a BIG HELP! I’m new to mining so I’m trying to figure out what is common practice with everyone.

ask your friend or family member to hold your phone to record a video while you unpack your miner. this way you have all the proof. definitely take photos.

I will. Thank you for the advice.
